Rocket Bot Royale Tips and Tricks

We have been playing Rocket Bot Royale for a little bit now and we just thought would share a few tips and tricks to help get you that first victory! If you need a primer on Rocket Bot Royale check out our review. These are just some things that probably would have helped us from the start:

1. Get to high ground

The sea is always rising here. This means that high ground is at a premium and you want to start moving toward it as soon as possible. Pretty much every game I have played has ended not with one player destroying another but with the second to last player falling into the sea and the player with higher ground coming out victorious. Of course there is a little bit of strategy here as sometimes it can be that because of the destructible nature of the maps you can knock a person off high ground but generally this doesn’t work as well as already being there. If you are already in the higher position you have a major the advantage of being able to “skip” around and fall into the drink last even if you are knocked off.

2. Utilize your energy

Use that energy!

When you start out in the game and hit play for the first time you will notice that there is a pre-play menu that has a battery with 10 units. You can use these units to bring different weapons and perks into the game. You definitely don’t want to go in without these because everyone else will have them and you will definitely be at a disadvantage.

3. Rank up

Speaking of your energy and perks you will notice the first time through that you only have access to the nuke weapon. In my opinion this is the weakest of the perks because although it is very powerful it takes a long time to power up and if you are aiming at someone by the time you are ready to get the shot off they are often blasting you. A much better perk is the rapid fire. You want to immediately try to level up to get that one. Others like the health and mine are a little weaker in my opinion. The drill is also quite useful but it takes a little while to get there at level 10.

4. Only open the Basic Crate – at least at the beginning

Do not click the gold, shiny object!

At first I wanted to save up and open up the Elite Crate because you know it is very shiny and gold and its name is Elite! But then I realized that the only difference is that the elite crate just guarantees you a new item. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you get a great item. The basic crate on the other doesn’t guarantee a new item but at the beginning the chance of getting a repeat is pretty small so just go for the basic for now.

5. Don’t forget to collect your bonus coins

I remembered! Collect those coins!

In the top right corner you can collect 100 coins every 30 minutes. Don’t be like me. Don’t forget!

Bonus: If you want more elims use Deathmatch mode

Deathmatch rocks!

Deathmatch mode is a cool squad v squad mode that includes respawns. There is a lot more mayhem there and it is super fun. One thing nice about it is you can pick up a bunch more eliminations than you would in the normal battle royale. This can also be useful to pick up some of the tougher elimination goals.
