Here is our roundup of the best looking new games released in the past week on Nintendo Switch. If you want to see last weeks roundup check it out here. It should also be noted that we haven’t necessarily played these titles. They are just some of the ones that look the most promising to us. If we have made a review we will provide a link to it. Without further adieu…
1. Hyper Shapes
Hyper shapes is described as a “frenetic minimalist Boss Rush”. I love the simple shapes and colors in this one. I am always a sucker for the flat art style and it looks like it is done really well in this game. From the trailer it looks like there are a good number and variety of bosses too. Couple that with a $4.24 price tag makes this one a weekly winner. Get it on steam or the Nintendo eShop.
2. pixelBOT Extreme
I love old time run and gun games so this one is right up my alley. The game was developed by PlayHeart Games and originally released in 2018 on Steam but it has just made it over to Switch. The pixel art looks really nice and the the Steam reviews have been great so definitely looks worth a try on Switch. You can pick this one up on Steam or on the Nintendo eShop.
3. Pipeline Panic
This is another game that was released on Steam first and then cam to the Switch this past week. The dystopian story sounds cool. The graphics look very nice and the frenetic gameplay looks like a lot of fun. Whats not to like? I will say there is a pretty big price discrepency on this one between the Steam and Switch versions. So if you want to pay a bit less for the game and have a windows machine you may want to get this one from Steam. Available for $3.99 on Steam and $14.99 on the Nintendo eShop.
